weaktwosOkay, so this week we've seen some new episodes. The ones that interested me the most were Veronica Mars and Grey's Anatomy.
First, Veronica Mars. I enjoyed the episode overall. But as others have lamented, they miss the multiple-episode story arcs. I do, too. However, despite lacking the multi-ep-arc, the actors were entertaining. Their demeanor makes the show fun. Scenes like Veronica interrogating the paint ball punks with their own paint guns was quite entertaining. Her exchange with the 1 hour photo guy was quite fun. Mac and Max. Yes, two peas in a pod. Finally, what makes all the VM fanfolks squeal: Veronica, Piz, and Logan's look of mingled longing and discomfort.
So, thin episode overall, but as soon as we see two attractive people make out, we're all over it. I hope the actors intended to make the kisses look awkward, because both of Veronica and Piz' kisses appeared that way. It definitely sends a signal that "this ain't gonna last". Whether the show lives on or not. And because the prognosis for the show to end looks likely, we'll have LoVE by season's end. Unless the writers want to finish it off with a great Romeo and Juliet style dual suicide. (or a twoicide, if you will)
Veronica getting a near-perfectly centered face of Logan on her slice of the cake: a stretch. Was this some message from the writers that Veronica is destined to eat Logan's face come season's end? We never did see her eat that cake.
Grey's Anatomy:
Two hour episode. This meant more quality time with Chris Lowell, who is quite cute, as well as many other new cast members for a prospective Grey's spinoff, "Private Practice". I really enjoyed the characters down in Santa Monica. Taye Diggs, Tim Daly, Amy Brenneman, I like them all. I think the cast really worked well together. And Kate Walsh is just groovy. However, I saw the gag with Tilly the security camerawoman coming a mile away. Shame on someone as intelligent as Addison for not realizing that. I won't be disappointed if the show survives and we see more episodes. Izzy and George: You two. I'm talking to you. Stop it.
