I wonder how many cat owners around the world are awkwardly stumbling over their cats at any given time, who seem to have a predilection for pausing just behind one's feet.

I'm telling you. It is the master plan to kill us all and take our stuff.

I think they have a twisted wit about them. They don't want to stop the free food train from coming, so they won't intentionally kill us yet.

Well they are carnivores and mine like to roam outside. I guess if they could kill me right when I opened the door they would have it made.

Mine doesn't. She's more of a dog than a cat, which means she follows. Everywhere.

That's my blind lad. He follows, and he pauses behind my legs. I nearly stepped on him this morning, but nearly tripped and fell during my evasive maneuvers.

At any given moment, 1/6 of all cat owners are busting their ass because of their cat.

43% of all stats are made up on the spot.

Yes, it is a game with them

I have seen my cat crouch down, wiggle his butt (the cat "I'm going to pounce" signal") and then, the instant I moved, dart forward to a point just in front of my feet.

Yeah, cats have a sense of humor...or are just psycopaths.

cats are quick learners...

..that is when the outcome is desired by the cat

Willow quickly learned that after dinner is treat time for the 'humans' so whenever one of us trots to the kitchen in the evening, following along and flopping like some dead thing on our feet brings on a kitty treat (sometimes--but she's always hoping)

I don't let my cats out to bring me dead treats, thank goodness.:)

guess I need to write English more clearly...

the cat doesn't bring 'dead things', she flops down as if she were a 'dead thing' :)

If only Ivy would pause behind my feet. *grin* Instead she tends to move right in front of me as I'm walking to just stop and flop down right at my feet (and when one has just woken up, it can be.. a bitch). I had to learn to shuffle my feet whenever I move from spot to spot. Makes it easier to slip a foot under her to slide her to the side without missing a step *grin*. Of course as soon as I slide her over she gets up and does it again.

I think at 7:49 this morning I was tripping over my cat Hermes as he tried to claw over the dog to get outside.
