I wonder how many cat owners around the world are awkwardly stumbling over their cats at any given time, who seem to have a predilection for pausing just behind one's feet.

I have seen my cat crouch down, wiggle his butt (the cat "I'm going to pounce" signal") and then, the instant I moved, dart forward to a point just in front of my feet.
