On the drive into work this fine morn, I listened to this interesting interview with regard to polling Iraqis for their opinion about U.S. occupation, the U.S. going to war, etc. The gentleman interviewed does polls for ABC.

I find it interesting that the Iraqis seem to feel that they are a little better off, but yet they are not overwhelmingly in favor of democracy, or overwhelmingly fond of U.S. occupation.

Just look at this.

The president is encouraging John Kerry to back up flippant claims that other leaders want Bush out of office.

Bush just wants to make Kerry jealous because Kerry doesn't have a whole group in the Pentagon that is paid to fabricate facts/intelligence to justify his actions.

Bush should take a wild guess and figure that since half of us want him out, at least that percentage of nations want him out, too.

I came across an older photo of my cats, and got a little nostalgic.

Sascha and Max about 8 months ago.
Sascha and Max now.

*sniff* Oh, how little Maximus has grown. And he has also finally figured out how to get on the kitchen counters. I thought since he was blind that I would have it made when it came to him jumping up on high places. I was wrong. Crafty little bastard.

I'm finally getting around to watching Real Time with Bill Maher, now that i'm coming down from my Buffy Addictive Disorder.

I can't believe Maher said this (well yes I can, but still): [talking about Kerry's wife, the Heinze Ketchup heiress] "She's the Ketchup lady! Which explains why he has to smack her on the bottom to get her to cum."

That's just terrible. However, I cannot help but laugh.

In sad news, Sandra Tsing Loh got fired from NPR because she said the queen mother of all cuss words on the air on Sunday. So the fuck what? She's pretty good fun to listen to. If you've never heard of her, but you have a good sense of humor, be sure to take a gander at Depth Takes a Holiday.

Now I'm watching Bill Moyer's "Now", also recorded on my Tivo. Maurice Sendak is being interviewed! He is one of my favorite childhood story authors. I grew up reading Chicken Soup with Rice, Where the Wild Things Are, other stories. Apparently, he has illustrated one more story, and it will be his last.
