Okay, another wee buying spree. It started with me wanting some additional posters for my study. And then it just went down hill.

-Two Kill Bill Posters
-The Usual Suspects
-Fight Club
-Amelie
-Lost in Translation
-Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkhaban--the one with Gary Oldman's wanted photo on it.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] taogrl: I found a copy of a CD with Sarah Mclachlan's "Prayer of St. Francis" for you. It shall arrive soon.

I suppose I should sleep.

This was very clever of Bob Woodward....to write a book praising Bush and then use it to get more access to get some really juicy interviews. Brilliant.

However, this detracts from John Dean's accusation that the Bush Administration was the most secret ever; more secret than Nixon. Yet 75 sources sing like canaries to Woodward. Wait a second...where have I heard of Woodward before? Hmmm...gate of water....gatewater...no...Watergate. Don't tell me those Republicans fell for it again?!? I think they've been Punk'd!

The article linked in paragraph one above finishes with a most frightening quote from Bush. He was asked how he would be viewed in history with his actions in Iraq.

"And he said, ‘History,’ and then he took his hands out of his pocket and kind of shrugged and extended his hands as if this is a way off. And then he said, ‘History, we don’t know. We’ll all be dead.’"

I'm playing hookie today.

Not that I'm a really huge work slacker. You see, I had a terrible night full of indigestion, followed by some vomiting and abdominal pain and dizziness.

Yeah, great.

So I just called in dead. I caught up on some sleep, a little political righteousness, and now I'm studying for my Server+ exam.

I still feel kind of week and tired. But I'm not hurling! I wonder if the leftover chicken wings I had from Chili's yesterday was what did me in.

Well, not that I read all of the convservative rag-mags out there, but so far I've seen The National Review's David Frum make a weak retort thus far. Of course, he's not saying a damn thing about the 700 million in misappropriated funds.

Not that I would expect them to have a retort right away. But still, if they are going to present us with a stupid, misleading argument eventually, they might as well get it out of the way now.
