Aug. 11th, 2004 09:00 amLast night was fairly decent.
My workout was tough. I was tapped out on energy. Also, it was extremely hot outside, so jogging outdoors was very uncomfortable.
I saw a couple at work enter the gym (we have a gym on premises). They had never both come into the gym before (at least in the past year), and they looked like it. They were not giving themselves a hard workout, and they had confused looks on their faces. Hopefully they will get into their fitness groove soon.
I left work, stopped by Best Buy and acquired Kill Bill 2, as well as the sleeve that will hold both 1 and 2. (The sleeve was free at Best Buy if you bought either 1 or 2.)
Then I proceeded to hit Beverages and more to replenish my gin supply, as
modeleccentric helped me finish off my Bombay Blue Sapphire. I couldn't find the gin that he had recommended, so I decided to start a "beautiful liquor bottle collection" and bought Magellan gin. Next will be Van Gogh, and any others that please me. Tanqueray Ten was also on sale.
And then there was the Key Lime Vodka. It was over 50% off. It's premature to tell, but I think I know why. I love key lime pies and ice cream, so the thought of a key lime martini sounds quite appealing. There is work needed to perfect this recipe. Perhaps, it might be salvaged with some simple syrup. We shall see.
One of these days, I am tempted to import and try real Absinthe.
More drum practice was engaged in last night. Then I fell asleep watching Sarah Mclachlan's Mirrorball concert dvd. I wish they would focus on the drummer more. I want to see what he does when he does what he does. Listening to Stuart Copeland on Police songs continues to make me cry.
Tonight is wine tasting at Ink.
And now, to work.
