Before I slumber

-I'm watching Veronica Mars. Lauren, a little girl, is reading "The Westing Game". I read that book as a wee sprog, and yes, for wee sprogs, it is an awesome book. How neat that it gets mentioned in this series. Also, Spinal Tap gets plugged. Nice.

-Modest Mouse continues to intrigue me. I will acquire some of their music.

-I await Tivo's TivoToGo function.

-I went to the gym tonight, got in 40 minutes of cardio and some stomach crunches.

The Other Body Revealed!

Thanks to my ignorance, or forgetfullness, I did not know that members of the House could not refer to the Senate or a Senator in their speeches.

Well, now they can:

I'm not sure how I feel about this. This is mainly because I never knew it was a problem in the first place. However, if the Senate did not follow the same practice, I'm not sure the policy was ever needed in the first place.

We in the United States just aren't going to feel special anymore. We're just going to have to start pimpin' our nuclear rides.

And is it just me, or are countries' excuses for nuclear power sounding a lot like marijuana legalization jokes: "Dude, we're just using nuclear power for medicinal purposes."

You know...I got a letter that appeared to be from Livejournal telling me that my account was expiring. Because I'm a lazy lass, I did nothing about it. I go and check my account status independently today and see that my account is good until June 23, 2005.

Hmmm.

I will have to go back and check that email. I think some tomfoolery is going on.

I hate it when I do that. In the event that anyone has called me, I'm sorry I missed your call.
