Drummage

My day is going well. I've had my hair done, had a little snackage of cottage cheese, discovered my cats like cottage cheese, then laughed at myself for being surprised.

I'm practicing the drums. In particular, keeping balance on the seat while I try to have both feet working the petals at the same time. I need more endurance on getting the legs and the right motion of the foot and ankle pivot. It's easy for the legs to get tired.

My jeans are getting more and more comfy to fit in. :-)

You guessed it: after yesterday's debauchery of bad carbs, sugars and fats, the change on the scale was: nothing. Slick.

Double, or standard...

You playing double bass, or single and a hat? You're right - double can require huge amounts of endurance - for that matter single can to. I grew up on a trap that would have made alex vH nod his head...and people ask me why so much of my body weight is in my legs. You get good on a double kit, and you'll have such cut legs...

I was messing around with single and a hat. The bass foot feels much more, of course, than the high hat leg, given my drills emphasizing the bass.

I haven't gotten into double bass pedals, yet. Not sure that I will, unless I get a bigger house with a bigger music room. :-)
