Two things

First of all, I was watching the broadcast of the house of representatives on CSPAN. I caught the opening activities, including a session of prayer for the House, led by a minister.

This concerns me. I think faith is important on a personal level, but not as a part of government. I'm concerned that things are getting too blurry, and when they clear up, we'll have ourselves a mountain of problems. So far, our war against terror just happens to be against muslims, and our primary religion just happens to be Christianity of some sort. And folks in Israel that are engaging in a territory dispute just happen to be Jewish and Muslim. The coincidences are building up...


Secondly, I found 40 bucks in the pocket of a freshly laundered pair of jeans!

this is what I have always though, that religion should be kept seperate from everything else.
I have no problem with people believing in whatever they want.
It's just when they start to force their views on others that I dislike.

But from a point of view is that what I am doing here. or am I just having my say?

I think you're just having your say. :-)

Historically, governments use religion as a guise for their less noble objectives of more land and power. I would hate to see us do that. I don't want to see our citizens die, thinking they are serving a higher purpose when really they are helping a few wealthy families get richer and more powerful.

It is no coincidence that one of the most religious presidents we have has been a proponent-in-behavior of corporate welfare.
