Ahhh, Poetry

You know, poetry vexes me sometimes. However, if I were to ever teach the class, I would understand what the objective of poetry was, and I wouldn't be behaving like this ass clown of a professor.

I wouldn't be so bold as to suggest this is the case, but this is one of those reasons that tell me that some conservatives cannot be very creative thinkers.

However, I haven't seen the full text of the poem.

The article actually noted that it is the student (Bolles) who is a conservative, and that he has "disagreed with some of the liberal political themes in (the professor's) poetry selections."

Yeah, I read it too fast. My bad. I'm surprised the professor is still acting to censor her student. She definitely missed the point.

Agreed on the prof (I had to reread it several times to get the names straight myself). Although I suppose it backs up the idea that poetry is especially subjective, and it may mean one thing to one person, and something completely different to another. *shrug* Whatever.

At least I signed my name when I corrected you. ;-)

Exactly! I really dug Anon's condescending tone, though. That's nothing but goodness.

I think that article was poorly written. Or I can only read it after I've been up for 5 hours.
