Last night I was in a foul mood. I don't like to drink when I'm upset, so I ditched the booze cruise and stayed home to engage in some rituals of mood purification. Things were looking up after I thoroughly cleaned my bathroom floor. By the end of the night, which ended up stretching rather late, my mood made a marked improvement. :-)

I was awakened this morning with phone calls from coworkers. We had a power outage this morning. Marshlands and I did some remote testing, and everything on the telecom side seemed fairly functional.

My loving kitten, craving to be near me, made the mistake of laying right behind my feet, and I nearly hobbled the poor boy by stepping on his precious little hind-legs. Fortunately, since I'm as nimble as a gazelle, I detected non-rug fuzziness and did not complete my step back.

Now I'm off to my mother's house to take care of some holiday related tasks.

I won't be out too late, though, for I must be at work at 7:15am tomorrow.

I stepped on Tika's tail once. I felt really badly. Actually, she's normally very good about staying out of the way. She'll even go sit under the coffee table if people are walking around to make sure no one can step on her.
