Not a huge amount of stuff going on that I care to report.

-Last night [livejournal.com profile] taogrl and I hung out at Fox and Goose to catch up on our lives and current events. That was most excellent.

-Before that, at work I cut my thumb on a metal broomstick that someone broke in two. While I was carrying it to the trash, it slipped in my hand and now I have a red smile on my thumbprint. Good thing I just got my tetanus shot. In addition to that, I cleaned it with alcohol, and it has been covered in neosporin since its creation. The piece de resistance, of course, is that I currently have it bandaged with a Harry Potter bandage. Yes, I'm still a child!

Yes, kids. It's Thanksgiving Season. Now every chef on Food TV has their hands up the ass of a Turkey. Awww yeah.

On today's menu:
-Drum lesson
-Drum practice
-Errands (the little predators need more CAT FUD(for those who were loyal Far Side readers) and litter.
-I have to work tonight. Meh!

that's why they invented just 'turken breast' -- all white meat and no ass--but Wendy likes dark meat (turkey, I mean) so just roasting the breast probably won't work for us...sigh...well, she could eat no fat and he could eat no lean, or something like that

too bad about your thumb--I do stuff like that all the time...and most of the time, I don't even recall how it happened :)

Well, there is something to be said about making stuffing in the turkey, so I perpetuate the tradition. But yeah, I should think about just doing the turken breast. I'm all about the white meat.

You know you're not supposed to cook stuffing inside the turkey don't you? You like living on the edge huh? ;D

It's tradition! And nobody in my family has perished from Big Nasty Turkey Poisoning!

But boy, I am getting ready to pitch the tradition. I'm sooo not into turkey wrestling to get that bulbous bad boy rinsed, seasoned and onto a big pan.

Actually I think it is as much about taste as the health myth. The stuffing absorbs the smells and inside turkey ickiness. My mom used to always cook stuffing inside the turkey also, and then I tried the stuffing just cooked on the stove and realized that it actually tasted a whole lot better.

OK, OK so we can't always type...but most people just ignore the typos ;)--anyway, how different are n's and y's (and yes, I know that there shouldn't really be an apostrophe there but it just doesn't look right without one... ;)--how would you do it?

My cats have always eaten FUD! *grin*
I'm sorry about your thumb, I know it will be fine...
and Day and I were just heading out to the Fox and Goose, it being the only place we can think of with good breakfast and good drink...
Hope work goes quickly!

Bon appetit!

The Tower has good breakfast. The Riverside Club has good breakies, too. I've also heard good things about the Cornerstone for more standard fare. And yes, the F & G does well too. You must try them all!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! 'Fraid not. I barely have time to do the other stuff I need to do. I do try to make the once a month Saturday meeting at the Watt Ave library though because that is a whole day of gaming and a wide variety and the kids love it.
