Regarding Star Trek Nemesis: See it only in the privacy of your own home. See it with a bunch of friends, so you can give it the MST3k treatment in style. This way, you can scream at the movie without making trekkies cry. While it's a tempting concept (make trekkies cry), it's rather rude in general.

I spent much of the movie doing the snort-stifle-laugh combo. I had to squawk when data went flying out of the ship, playing Peter Pan the Rema Pirate.

Oh, and I haven't seen such sacrifice and fine acting since Armageddon.

Oy. That is all.

I'm still impressed that he built up enough velocity to cross the distance in just a few seconds, just from jumping! Data must be the running broad jump champion of the Federation. And, with all that velocity, that he didn't rip his arm off grabbing the ladder on the hull of the other ship to stop himself.

It wasn't as bad as Armageddon, though.
