Another fine Lost episode.
"My name is Benajmin Linus and I've lived here all my life."
Okay, so at least once Other has lived here in his entirety, assuming he's telling the truth. Part of me feels he didn't.
But what if he was? And are the rest of the others in the same boat? So far, there appear to be no famililial associations with the Others. In fact, based on the book club scene of last week, they seem more like coworkers.
And if the Others have been spending their entire life there, how come no one is procreating? Or did they try, and sustaining children on the island has been impossible. Was that why Walt was deemed so special?
I'm not sure if Sun had balls of steel when she shot the woman on the boat, or if the starting of the boat engine startled her.

Date: 2006-10-12 05:20 pm (UTC)As for Sun shooting the chick... Sun's riding a desparate wave of late. She's pregnant, hormonal, and insecure in her marriage even as her husband's security in it grows. Mmmmm. Good juxtiposition there.
Oh, and let me tell you, I have been dying to see 'Enforcer Jin' show up on the island, and the first time he gets a chance... the ambush goes awry. I'm waiting for him to kick some asche!!! :)
This really was a spectactularly written episode and it almost forgot that I was annoyed that we *STILL* don't know what happened to Lock, Eko and Desmond.
Oh, and Sawyer's a tricker suminabich than I originally thought. His combat assessment was freaking brilliant and made my jaw drop. I'm gonna have to steal that. :)
