1. While heading up north from Modesto today, I saw signs for the Moaning Caverns. I was struck with a glaringly inconsequential realization. Forget my first dog's name. Forget the street I grew up in. My porn name will now and forever be Mona Cavern. Or Monique Cavern. I can't decide.

2. I think this year's toy purchase will be a new vacuum cleaner. Maybe a Dyson.

3. Am I the only one who thinks of "My Dick in a Box" whenever one sees Justin Timberlake?

4. I'm quite over Chevy Commercials.

5. I have accidentally tossed my cat's favorite pet mouse up high on my entertainment center in a freak fetch-playing accident. I'm now watching him track said mouse. He's thorough, careful, and yet totally unsuccessful.

I visited the Moaning Caverns. They're pretty neat, though you have to take the adventure tour to see anything more than the central chamber. Of course, I was in a lot better shape then. Anyway, the name's still pretty funny.

Get a Dyson DC 17 (?) Animal. It'll set you back $500, but it's worth it.

I was looking at that one or the Ball (dc 15). Looking at the Amazon reviews, I see some people had some belt problems with the 17. Another person had problems with the dyson actually sucking up their carpet...

I was under the impression that the 17 was their newer model and therefore might be having some "new model problems".

Costco sells the Ball full kit for $500, as well.

I think the Dyson does so well because they've got good marketing, not necessarily because their machines are any better than others'.

I've been happy with my Hoover Windtunnel Upright for about 7 years now. I bought it because it was highly rated by Consumer Reports. It costs less than a Dyson too.
